About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Sourcing Engineer with a background in Engineering and a focus on the electric vehicle (EV) two-wheeler industry. In this role, you will manage and optimize our supply chain by identifying, evaluating, and onboarding vendors and suppliers, ensuring we meet our strategic objectives and operational efficiency goals.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Identify potential suppliers and vendors for our products based on defined criteria.
Evaluate and compare suppliers and vendors, conducting thorough analyses to identify the best options.
Lead negotiation efforts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and conditions.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and ensuring long-term partnerships.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure supply needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Continuously monitor the supplier market and industry trends to identify potential opportunities or challenges.
Develop and implement sourcing strategies aimed at improving efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring quality and timely delivery.
Manage the procurement of parts and components for prototype builds, coordinating with design and engineering teams to meet project timelines.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is mandatory.
3-5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or a similar role in the EV two-wheeler industry.
Proven experience in vendor management and negotiation.
Strong understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgment.
Strong understanding of and excellent networking within the EV supply chain in India.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to create and process financial spreadsheets.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with key suppliers.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
