About the Role
We are looking for a Data Scientist to lead the development and integration of data-driven algorithms into our simulation software. The candidate should have extensive experience in machine learning, data mining, and statistical modeling. Candidates with a background in e-com / quick commerce / food tech are preferred.
Requirements
What You’ll Do:
Develop data pipelines and workflows to process large volumes of delivery and fleet data.
Design and implement predictive models for order demand, rider routing, and vehicle utilization using Python, R, or C.
Analyze and interpret results, presenting actionable insights to stakeholders.
Create dynamic geospatial models to improve delivery efficiency and reduce empty miles.
Build and deploy machine learning models for real-time gig assignment and optimization.
Collaborate with backend and mobile teams to integrate data science solutions into the Dispatch platform.
Develop dashboards and visualization tools for operational metrics using Tableau, Power BI, or Plotly.
Research and experiment with cutting-edge techniques in data science, AI, and machine learning to improve overall system performance.
What We’re Looking For:
3-6 years of experience in data science or machine learning, preferably in logistics or delivery systems.
Proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience in libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
Strong understanding of statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and data interpretation.
Experience with data pipeline tools like Apache Spark, Airflow, or Luigi.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for data science workflows.
Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases, including performance optimization.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
Bonus Skills:
Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Databricks.
Knowledge of time-series analysis and forecasting methods.
Familiarity with logistics-focused data models and systems.
Background in optimization techniques and algorithms (e.g., genetic algorithms, linear programming).
Knowledge of geospatial analysis using tools like QGIS, GeoPandas, or PostGIS.
